Syntyche was a a female member of the church at Philippi, during the time of the Evangelist. She is mentioned once in the Bible, in the New Testament epistle of Philippians. There, Paul writes:
"I plead with Euodia and I plead with Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord" (Philippians 4:2, NIV).
The name Syntyche means "fortunate."
