Orpah was the sister-in-law to Ruth, and daughter-in-law to Naomi. She was a Moabite woman who married one of Naomi's sons (Ruth married Naomi's other son) while Naomi and her family were living in Moab, due to a famine in Israel. When both sons died, Naomi decided to return to Israel, and told Orpah and Ruth to stay in Moab and remarry. Ruth decided to go with Naomi to israel, but Orpah decided to stay in Moab. Orpah is found in the Book of Ruth.
