Eliphaz

One of Job's three friends and so-called comforter. Eliphaz the Temanite was more sympathetic in his counseling than Job's other two friends, Bildad and Zophar. But he too wanted Job to admit that his punishment by the Lord was just, for the sins he committed.

Eliphaz was the oldest of the three friends and was a very religious man (Job 2:11). Because he was the oldest, he was the first one to speak to Job.

Eliphaz, Bildad and Zophar were instructed by God to sacrifice seven bulls and seven rams in atonement for the way they acted towards Job.
