Exodus begins

About 1400 BC (About 3,400 years ago)

After being enslaved for about 400 years, the Israelites, led by Moses, leave Egypt and head toward the land of Canaan, which later becomes Israel. Moses and his fellow Israelites wander the desert of Sinai for 40 years before reaching the border of Canaan.
